We have to do a ‘DEEP CLEAN’ of the oven in the house we’re renting before we move next month, so if the landlord asks if I did it I’m going to show them this:
Cleaning is also why I’ve not touched the Trans Am in a couple days. Not that the house is filthy, but the amount of stuff we’re packing and condensing and moving around is time consuming. And many loads have ended up in the garage, blocking Trans Am access. Though I am making a run to Goodwill after work, so I should have some room and time tonight to maybe put the other door on... and latches... and the window regulators and glass...

You should really just paint the Trans Am while you’re at it too and maybe throw a supercharger on the engine. You know, just your typical getting a car ready to move to a new home type of stuff.

Cleaning the oven is where I gave up cleaning my apartment before moving out. I cleaned the outside, and the inside of the door, and then decided I was done with it. What does “broom clean” really mean for appliances anyway?

They gave us a list of what and how to clean.... They asked that the basement be swept and cleaned of cobwebs. ITS A BASEMENT. That said I spent an hour down there tonight swatting webs and dust. I think there’s fewer down there now than when we moved in 4 years ago.

Looks like you’re past the part already, but when cleaning my stove, I did find it completely worthwhile to spend $15 and get all new burner pans instead of wasting time trying to get the accumulated burnt on junk off of my existing ones.
